Take an electric bicycle at KALAHARI ANIB LODGE and tour yourself around the hotel in the desert ! 🌵
You have the option to Take 3 paths
- Ostrich : the shorter you don’t go really far from the hotel
- Zebra : middle length we chose this one because your electrical battery has a 2h autonomy and the receptionist was afraid we would not make it with a the bigger path.
- Oryx : the longest one, we could have probably done it, if you can cycle fast the battery can endure the length of the track
If you are lucky you can encounter Giraffes, Zebras, Ostrich Oryx and many more !

Book a Safari for an afternoon drive. Embark on the elevated 4x4. Go with Johanes if possible he was a great guide !
Bring sunglasses for the beginning and a jacket + scarf for the return after sunset.
Get to know about the Kalahari wildlife, the different type of birds and their huge nests
Encounter Giraffes, Zebras, Oryx, Wilder-beast and more
Let yourself go with the smells and colors of this beautiful desert
Enjoy refreshments at the top of the dunes and watch the sun go down over the whole desert
MEET THE BUSHMEN / SAN TRIBE

It takes 30 mins to drive there from Kalahari Anib Lodge. The entrance is a bit further on the road that what the GPS indicates
You get to meet the San tribe also known as Bushmens. You walk with them in the desert and get to know how they used to survive in the desert, their hunting techniques, how they stored water, their healing plants etc…
You then discover a reproduction of their traditional village. You tour and exchange with them around the fire through your guide who translates.
They do not speak English at all and your guide is a San who learned English.
This activity is a reproduction of their culture and traditional lives do not expect to find a living village the 21st century brought modernity even in the deep desert
For the plus point it really felt like a human exchange and not like a « human zoo » activity. However dare to go talk to them, laugh smile and take photos they are pretty shy at first
